Can I trust that the AI is telling me the truth?

Not completely. AI can still make mistakes or give incomplete answers. ChatNCC is designed to help you work faster, but you should always verify important outputs against the NCC, referenced standards, and your certifier or relevant authority.

Why did ChatNCC give me an answer that's not related to my question?

AI models can occasionally hallucinate and return incorrect or off-topic responses. A quick retry or a more specific prompt often helps. For critical work, always cross-check the result with official NCC and Australian Standards sources.

Do you use my data for training?

No. Your ChatNCC data is not used for model training.

All requests are routed through Cloudflare's secure network and AI model gateways to help protect your data in transit.

What model does ChatNCC use?

ChatNCC uses its own unique model based on frontier model Kimi K2.5, hosted on Cloudflare.

The model is consistently benchmarked in the top percentile.

Does ChatNCC include the full text of Australian Standards?

Not always. The NCC references many external documents, and full Australian Standards access may require purchase or subscription from licensed providers.

How do I know which NCC edition applies in my state or territory?

Adoption dates and variations are set by each jurisdiction. Confirm the applicable NCC edition and any local variations with your state or territory building authority before relying on an answer.

Can I use a newer standard than the one listed in NCC Schedule 2?

For Deemed-to-Satisfy solutions, you generally need the edition listed in Schedule 2. Newer editions may be considered as part of a Performance Solution where compliance can be demonstrated.
